The Pink Legacy, an extraordinary 18.96ct fancy vivid pink diamond, sold for CHF50,375,000 (aboub USD 50 million) in the Megnificent Jewels auction on 13 November 2018 at Christie's in Geneva.
The Pink Legacy has descended from the Oppenheimer Family. After five minutes of bidding, it became the world record holder for price paid per carat for a pink diamond at auction.
Christie's international head of jewelry, Rahul Kadakia, said it was purchased by the luxury brand Harry Winston, and would be renamed "The Winston Pink Legacy".
